I provide a full service facility at my studio in Kingston NY. Kingston is about 100 miles due north of NYC in the Hudson Valley. It’s a happening little city with lots of music , good food and great people.
My day rate for production, recording and mixing is $600/day but I’m flexible for longer projects . There is an excellent set up here if you want to just “plug in” to my sound but I am also free to travel to other locations if need be. There is onsite accommodation which can help out with your budget too. ( though you may want to take advantage of one of the many excellent AirBnb places around here for a little more privacy)
Some of my gear includes a great selection of acoustic and electric guitars, some vintage analog keyboards and even a Chickering uprite piano dating from the late 1800’s. It sounds amazing by the way. I like old microphones because they get nice and warm. Mine include several Sony C-37’s which are excellent for many singers, three or four old Neumanns (U47/U67’s etc) and even a good pair of matched Coles 4038 Ribbon mics just like the ones you see in pictures from Abbey Roads Studios when they made Beatles records there.
Of course I do realize we’re well into the 21st C so in light of that I try to keep up to date with new gear , but still with an ear for the classic sounds of the glory days of analog recording.
