Fire Island with triggy smamller (1 of 1)

We live in Kingston NY about 1 1/2hrs north of Manhattan and just a short drive from Woodstock NY. It’s a very musical community with a great number of artists , musicians and writers. My studio  La Maison Bleue  is set up in our lovely Victorian home on scenic W. Chestnut St.  It’s just a short walk down to the scenic Rondout area where there are many restaurants, cafe’s and even a lovely wine shop for all your recording needs. The street was most notably once the  site of the country home of Calvert Vaux, one of the two architects responsible for Central Park, as well as Jervis McKentee, the famous Hudson Valley landscape painter. He and his his sister Sarah are buried in nearby Montrepose Cemetery.

I have assembled all of my favorite recording gear, mics and instruments including many fine vintage electric and acoustic guitars , amps, keyboards as well as a fine Mapex drum kit for use  when recording here with me. I provide a good deal of knowledge and experience along with humor and enthusiasm to every project  I take on.

My intention in setting up the studio is to make available all my expertise along with an inspiring environment to record in , in particular for new and aspiring artists who would like to have some of the same guidance and encouragement I was fortunate to experience as a young musician myself.

My recording background has covered many of the great mediums of recording, including tape and most digital formats. Along the way I have also picked up many “secrets” and tricks of the trade which to this day serve me well in bringing out the best in people I work with in performance and in creativity.

Please be in touch about your project . I am always willing to work within the budget you have available to you.
