The Recording Equipment ( for gear heads)

Some of my gear includes a great selection of acoustic and electric guitars, some vintage analog keyboards and even a Chickering uprite piano dating from the late 1800’s. It sounds amazing by the way. I like old microphones because they get nice and warm. Mine include several Sony C-37’s which are excellent for many singers, three or four old Neumanns (U47/U67’s etc) and even a good pair of matched Coles 4038 Ribbon mics just like the ones you see in pictures from Abbey Roads Studios when they made Beatles records there.

Of course I do realize we’re well into the 21st C so in light of that grim fact I try to keep up to date with new gear just in case you want your record to sound worse than it ought too. (just to remain contemporary that is)
